Summer holiday virtual running challenge
Win an IRMA (I ran my age) Medal!
Over the six weeks of the summer break from school (22nd July - 1st September), can you run enough miles to match your age?
If you are seven years old, that means running just over one mile each week. If older, you will have to do more.
This is how it works:
- Register for the IRMA Challenge by 12noon on 22 July by booking onto the session on ClubPal.
- Find a safe place to run. Make use of traffic free areas including playing fields and parks. Some ideas are: Thicket cycle path from Houghton to St. Ives, Guided Busway cycle path from St. Ives, Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Huntingdon Riverside Park and cycle path to Hartford, Silver Street Godmanchester (not entirely traffic free). Alternatively, run a parkrun or a race.
- Make a note of the day, time and distance for each run. Send your combined notes in an email to Juniors@brjrunandtri.org by 2 September 2024.
- Children under 11 should be supervised by adults.
- Estimating distance can be done using a Garmin device or similar. Helpful websites include:

This is a fun and inclusive virtual event which encourages members of BRJ Juniors to remain active during the summer break.
Bookings can be cancelled until 12:00 on 22/07/2024.
